Is it by design that the cargo resizing perk doesn't work in tradeships?

it was ment to be fixed in 2.0.1 , but it never worked, As far as I know they are aware of the issue.

The perk says it will add slots, not cargo volume, so it doesn't mean that you will be able to add more cargo in all cases. I have this problem only on the Lormac trade ship, it has a small cargo volume and the additional slots do nothing. I think the dev has forgotten to add a '0' to the cargo volumie, it should have 85.000 instead of 8500 cargo volume, then the problem disappears. On carrier traders it seems to work correctly, I can fill all my cargo with the additional slots but still I need to take care to not overload the ship.

Wait, you say you have cargo space working on traders? So on your lormac that normally has 1 slot, you can now have 9 slots? As my trader (Titan) that has 4 slots, it's still has 4 slots when using perk. Before the change made in 2.0.1 you could buy those extra slots full of stuff (even the ui showed 4, you could buy 12 slots), but kept losing them if you loaded the game.

I wonder if it's something to do with having older save file, and it's only working for those who level up the talent afterwards.

Just tested buying Lorman, it has indeed only 1 slot, instead of having 9. So the perk defo ain't working for me.

I tried it with several ships even bought new one, I don't get the extra slots.
I just leveled the perk today and it's broken for me too.

It's really heartbreaking that my ship runs max 1/3 filled, it feels useless to trade right now, I just continue to get my money back.

On the mid-sized carrier trader I get 11 slots, 3+8. I have the T2 perk. I can transport 110 robotics 11x10.
However I've bought this ship in v. 2.00, so IDK the current state of bugs. In past versions you had to empty your cargo before saving the game or your cargo was lost, IDK if they have fixed that.

The Perk in Adventurer that adds 3/8 Cargo Slots I can confirm 100% that it DOES work, but I would wager it's NOT intended for Cargo Ships. Here's why:

Every Ship that isn't a Cargo Hauler (Trade Ship) is like the UPS Brown Trucks that deliver small packages to your door. This is why these Ships can't carry the Containers full of stuff from the Trade Hubs.

Trade Ships are like the Container Vessels sailing very slowly across the Oceans carrying 20 foot and 40 foot long Containers that EACH have many small packages in them. The Slots on Cargo Ships are for Containers, not individual items.

EDIT: Apparently @japp_02 has seen it work since Patch 2.0.0 on Trade Ships so take my comment with a grain of salt.

EDIT2: @LordLoki is correct and I totally missed that this was listed in the Patch notes for 2.0.1. Still though, I find it completely broken that you can take a Trade Ship from 2 to 10 slots with 2 Perk points but I'm not the one developing the game.

In the Patchnotes for 2.0.1 it states that it's not shown but should work but doesn't.

There is no sense in a Ship with 36k cubic meters that always runs with 8-10 cubic meters.
Especially Cargo ships should be fully packed to the brim.

For me it does neither work with my fighter class ship nor my cargo hauler.
It's just another bug, but this time it's a bit game breaking for me.

The way you describe it is how it worked before patch 2.0.1 (which was supposed to fix issues). The UI on cargo screen didn't show the extra slots, but they were there still to be used. In 2.0.1 forward you can no longer buy cargo for the extra slots´gained by the perk, nor are they showing in the screen.

I have to correct myself surprisingly the perk did add slots to my fighter. After several hours.

I would love to get those slots on my Transport ship, but no way, I tried it again but there changed nothing, neither can I use those slots nor do they appear.
