Gamepad works

I switched from xbox controller to my logitec game pad yesterday and it still didnt feel right.
So just now i selected gamepad control from the games steam page,fired it up and it works like a dream,super smooth,even has button prompts.
Maybe the dev changed something or i didnt select gamepad in steam,but it defiantly works.

Is the Logitech pad the only one that works for you?

I've run through a series of Xbox, PS and various 3rd party controllers with no luck -
If so - what model are you using?

I'd rather pick up a pad for the game at this rate!

Just a bog standard logitec,think is the "F" version...i plugged it in,restarted my pc,went into big picture,went to controllers,allowed generic controllers...backed out of big picture,selected the game,on controller layout chose gamepad setting...all basic controls are there,have to use mouse on some screens but game looks quite deep,so best to use mouse on some screens...think my gamepad was cheap,£17.

Appreciate the answer, i'll have to acquire further "cheap" game pads lol.
Not the first time a pad i didn't expect to work- does - so might as well give some others a go!
