As for any"set waypoint" option I have yet to see one for any mission let alone side missions
For side missions you usually get purple waypoints on the planet, and ONLY when being on the planet, from space you won't know where to go except the system + planet where the mission is located. Do this:
- click in the mission list on the mission you want to do
- The description will appear
- In that window locate the little check box to link towards the location of the mission, look carefully or you miss it, then click on it which will set a waypoint in the galaxy map.
- Arrived at the planet in space, look for a purple destination after hitting B. After the planet descent, look for purple waypoints.
In missions without time limit it's enough to set them as active in the list to automatically show their waypoint in the galaxy map, but this could have changed in the current game version, IDK for sure, sorry.
As I said, missions related to creatures may still be a dead-end because in a placeholder state which means they still need to be designed in comming game versions (the creatures and their missions alike). Problem with that is: the waypoints may not show up because of that.
I just paid the fine to remove it from contracts.
However I have never seen any checkbox in any contract unless you are referring tot he "autotrack" which is checked by default ...
one of them dropped a claw with 60k credits
Oh, and no, there was no waypoint, for the guy above who asked. I went into the cave at a pit to try to do some mining, and found the creatures in it were the same ones the hunter guy in town wanted me to kill
Usually it's village center or central square
