Disable new radio function how?

Don't get me wrong I am not saying it is bad or broken ... i'm just saying we need a button to disable it. Personally I quit listening to radio stations over 40 years ago because of ads and find it annoying when games arbitrarily add even mock ads In fact most of these games I simply mute the music but that appears to have no effect on the excessively loud ad spam after arriving through a stargate... also I actually DID like the music in this game prepatch so would rather not have to turn it off

You can press H for the freemouse and click the radio symbol at the top left part of the screen to mute it, or in the Home screen on the PDA thing afaik.

TY did not notice the new icon (getting old sucks) however that appears to mute all music not just the annoying radio ads

Ah snap I didn't know it muted ingame ambient music. I had that real low anyhow 'cos I usually podcast and mine, so the radio and all changes along that route are sorta moot for me. Hopefully they can get it so both are separate channels so if you mute the radio, you still get the ambient music.

Yeah thats the rub. Not many games anymore have music that does not irritate me to the point where I simply disable music ingame. This one is one of the few where the music actually matches the game and is non-intrusive sad they switched to the fake radio format instead of just a playlist system especially since, just like real radio and tv ads, they are obnoxiously loud compared to the music

Oh I agree to a degree. I love the in-universe themed ad's and all the radio stuff thats there in concept at least, but I honestly wish they did similar to saints row and the like. A custom radio list where you can just add your own music, or maybe just add in the game OST and so on, a playlist system as you said.

New menu, press 'U' and you can change the volume of it if you want to keep it but need it quieter.

Well, for m there is another problem with radio.
Speech and music is unballanced. So when you turn down volume on speech really low just to have it as background, you dont hear music.
Just like dumb advertisments on Youtube. Always 20% volume+ against content you are watching...
