How to establish new base

Hello. I am doing the story missions and got to a point where we have decided to leave the cave base and set up a proper base around a planet of my choosing.

One of the NPCs in my team said to find a suitable place and then let him know and he will start building my new base. So I found a planet but can not figure out how to contact that guy and tell him to get to work. I even flew all the way back to our cave base but initiating conversation with any of them is useless.

The mission info in my UI is also of no use.
Hopefully somebody knows what I need to do at this point?

I also purchased my 3rd ship and sold my second. New one looks absolutely mint, has six weapon slots and I have made it tier 4 as well as given it a cool paint job, so currently one very happy spaceman. Anybody know how to post screenshots?

The best part of this game :D

So u need to find a System where no "Owner" is set... its a bit frustrating that u cant choose some options in the galaxymap.. but take the first system u found and look in... until u found "Babel (1)" xD (or straight go to babel! it is, in my opinion, the best system cause the house is literally down. (they got only lvl20 fighters)
After conquering Babel, u can take the rest around (but do not ♥♥♥♥ with the mining guild or freelancer guild! they simply destroy u in a blink)

I have taken space already but was wondering if you attack a pirate system to take it over and there is a miners guild station in it how does that work ? does the miner guild fight back even know your not attacking them they just happen to be in that system ?

ITs ok folks, I found a video on Youtube from a guy called TheRevPlays who has some walkthroughs on the mission, which is what I'm doing. I got to a point where they want to build stuff. Watching the Rev I see that after he gets the 2ns station built the mission gives a message saying something like, there is no more mission until a later update. So after doing this I'll be getting some funds built up, as the Rev shows things get expensive.

Does anyone know how to upload screenshots in here?

you don't need a system with no owner...

You are already at war with seragon. Just take their stuff.


All you need is an empty planet to build the capital and of course the necessary ressources.


Then you just raid the place ( be mindful of the enemies level before doing that ) .

You should be at least around 10-15 for that mission and seragon is between 5-10 for the most part.
