Ship level ?

so is there something in the ship tab that tells us what lvl the ship is at the time ? I have upgrade items that i looted to replace existing items on my ship. Those items show to be L8 and the icon on them refers to my character, which my char is a L8 but says they are too high level. So im assuming they mean its for my ship indicating that those upgrades are too high level for the ship to use. But the icon needs to be a ship and not my chars icon. (Ship level ?)

What character level are you looking at - soldier or pilot? Ship upgrades work off of your pilot level, it makes no difference what level the ship itself is.

ohh that explains alot...thnx. I kept looking for a ship icon. Just took awhile for it to sink in.

There is a ship tier and ship level that you can raise by going to a hangar, but the actual information on what changes is lacking. I upgraded my ship to tier 3 but I have no real idea what changed other than being able to add an equipment slot that costs 3x the amount that upgrading the ship to tier 4 does.

guess normally would need to spend more time in combat to raise pilot level for the ship. Alot of stuff in this game to have to rem, maybe some of it will sink in overtime.
