Drone Ship bug?

So, I had a drone ship up and running pretty well (a Huqe), but I ran into a bug where my drones would show "deployed" but not actually deploy. I've tried everything to fix this - restarting the game, selling and buying an entire set of new drones, etc - and nothing works. Anyone have any ideas, or is this just one of those wait til the dev fixes it issues?

well if you want to take it the hard way you might wanna restart from over

if you want for this issue to be fixed press F10 to bug report it or post it on the bug-report steam discussion or just do both

i do not have much information about this but if you can send me extra details on how this happened i might be able to give you a way to fix this

I have never had the problem either and have used my drones on the Huge as well as on one of the faction ships that is a drone ship... the Falron Tank or something like that. They work perfectly for me and always have. That Tank is a beast with your guns plus the drones. I have four drones on that Tank (one of each type). Did you ever buy drones or did you just use the perk with no drones onboard?

This has been identified during current development - it is possible to leave drones behind (such as deploying them and then using a Star Gate) and 'confuse' the Perk making the game think the drones are deployed, even though they were lost forever.
Things involving this are fixed for the next version, as the skill will have a "cooldown" in which the Perk will 'reset' and allow redeployment of drones as usual.

A current workaround could be to:
1. Dock and Sell the current drones
2. Save. Wait. Reload.
3. Buy more drones
4. Check if the skill got unstuck

If this doesn't work, it might require buying a new ship, or waiting until the next update.
