Vessel Venture Ship Outcomes
This post will collect information on the new ship you can get from the "Vessel Venture" added in V1.8.

You can only get 1 new ship design (at this time) from nine possibilities.

You can choose from Offensive, defensive or balanced. And from Black Ops, Fighter or Drone ship. Therefore 9 possible combos.

The ship is always named WRA-X1-??, where ?? is the level of the ship. It starts at whatever your pilot level is when you get it. There is only 1 new ship model, which is a very boxy white ship with stubby little wings. Very ugly if you ask me.

All WRA ships start with 7 components (Offence, Hull, shield, Weapons, Aim, Engine, Power). It can be upgraded in tiers like any other ship (it comes as tier 1). It can be levelled up like any other ship. You can add 2 extra modules at tier 2 and 4 like any other ship.

All WRA ships have 3 probe slots, 4 captive slots and 4 drone slots (however drones can only be deployed by the drone ships). All ships have a missile/torp slot

All fighters have 5 gun slots and the perks Engine Burst, Weapon Burst, Multi-missile.

All Blacks OPs have 4 gun slots and the perks Cloak, Engine Burst, Cooler.

All Drone ships have 3 gun slots and the perks Combat drones, Drone boost (bugged), Engine burst

Choosing offensive, balanced or defensive does not effect any of the above info. All it does is adjust the values of the other stats. Offensive has higher stats in the offence area (ie weapon damage %, crit chance, Crit %, fire rate, etc) and lower defensive stats (damage resistance, absorbtion, shield, armour) Defensive ships are the opposite and balanced has a good spread. Unknown if one type is faster than the others.

If you have info that contradicts the above, please post it, in case I have missed anything.

The decoy is borderline useless on the x-m.

But the new ship is slow and would benefit from having the perk decoy.


For the Black op ships, Cloak is a must... Engine burst is really versatile and useful.

It leave us with 1 perk and anything is more usefull than cooler...

But really the perk that would make more sense for a black op is signal disturber...

I made a defensive Black ops

Weapon slots: 4 guns, 1 missile/torp
Probe slots: 3
Captive slot: 4
Drone slots: 6 (Sell screen says 4, but refit screen has 6 slots)
Component slots: 7 (Offence, Hull, shield, Weapons, Aim, Engine, Power)
Perks: Cloak, Engine Burst, Cooler

I can post the stats at Lv76 T4 (and lv77 t4 for an offensive fighter for comparison)

It's strange to me that there is no drone component slot, and you can't add anything to it either.
Drones are often shot in combat, they are expensive to replace

BTW those who think drone slots don't match, that could be because you have the Adventurer skill perk that adds drone slots
