You can try it out by saving the game before selling, then compare the compressed with the uncompressed, tell me the cash difference at the end...
W/o Compressor a single stack of Asortak goes for 22k'ish. The station hits it with a tax and the Miner's guild gets their cut.
With Compressor @ Tier 1 a compressed stack goes for 1M'ish. The station hits it with a tax and the Miner's guild gets their cut.<--This alone makes it worth it imho
With Compressor @ Tier 2 a compressed stack goes for exactly 2,227,500. The station hits it with a tax and the Miner's guild cut their cut.<--This is AMAZING returns still
I literally have 75 stacks of compressed T2 Asortak as I am writing this...
Single stack worth 2,227,500 (remember this is up from 22K base)
Minus station Tax of 636,428
Minus Guild cut of 111,375
=1,479,697 (which is still a lot more than the base worth w/o compressor).
When I sold all 75 stacks I got nearly exactly the whole amount I was expecting. It however does not reduce the M3 at all for me ...which I am fine with since it only reduces my warp speed going back to sell.
That is the price of a single unit not a stack of 99 (99 x 22,500 = 2,227,500). At tier 2 the weight should be half but the price is the same as a uncompressed stack. Currently despite the description stating that in addition to the weight savings it is supposed to increase the value by 60/100% but instead we are only getting 60/100% of the original value
Well I'll be a monkey's Uncle! Short version never sold anything smaller than a full stack, so completely missed the price was per unit and not per stack. Thank you for that.
