Level Scaling Out of Control
The level scaling in this game is really preventing me from enjoying it. You level so easy that any minor gains from higher level loot/perks/new ships is completely wiped out in the next mission. Nothing really feels like I am progressing other than some new perks.

I am now getting destroyers spawn as the contracts boss. Trying to cheese it but they are way more stronger than me. Missiles went from being a nuisance to outright lethal just from going from lvl 12 to 13.

When will devs learn that level scaling is a pointless feature in any game. Just make it so there are a variety of contracts or missions up for grabs at all different levels. Hell, even make it so you are encouraged to go into "higher level" regions to fight harder missions.

I just go with rail guns, I have a ship with 6 gun slots, just pack em with them all around 900 damage each gun, only way I found to take on multi targets and the heavy fighters and drone ships, still have to occasionaly run to recharge shileds.

doesnt sound right, missiles shouldnt be remotely that strong at any level, i get hit by a ton all the time myself:/, your not still using default ship gear are you?

You can press X to try and confuse the missiles. I'm using it after getting the warning for a missile lock

i noticed just following the mission line i get out leveled really quick, i can tell when things get too difficult and im just L1 and the drones are L3 im shooting at. Guess more info in mission descriptions as to what Level they are. Character seems to lvl slower vs missions level.

missiles so rarely hit. I can practically not move and not be worried about them. the missile warning sound happens when ever a missile is fired. so just being behind a target negates 99% of the missiles. the only time to be concerned is with multiple targets. then at that point its just a matter of doing rotations or spinning.

Upgrade your ships. Tier 4 ship at your piloting level with appropriately leveled weapons and components will pretty much make any on level encounter reasonably easy. Just pack a couple shield/armor boosters and you're set.

Upgrades can be done at any faction capitol system (look for Faction Hanger that looks like a giant donut). You can add 2 more component slots to your ship as well. Can get pricey the higher level you make your ship though.

I'm either not experiencing what (might) be a bug for your game or you need to look into the game's mechanics to help improve yourself. I upgrade my Character & Ship constantly as Credits (money) are easy to make. Do the Mercenary Guild for Character gear (Epic at LvL 2, Legendary at LvL 3 Guild) & Freelancer Guild for Ship's Weapons. I'm stuck due to the Warp crash bug on getting to LvL 2 Bounty Hunter's Guild or I'd tell you what they offer for sale.

That said, once I "learned" how to play the Game, it's actually not hard at all and the scaling keeps some challenge (skull icon Contracts) while never making it seem completely trivial (1-star brown icon). Get good at head shots with an always up to date Sniper Rifle and Character combat becomes much easier. With Ships, you NEED to use X to flare for missiles and power drift when turning to get back on target faster as well as hitting Up Arrow twice to boost Weapon damage (make sure to have 5x T4 Shield Boosters on you, you'll need them).

I agree that the level scaling and treadmill of constant gear upgrades is a little much at the start, however it slows down quite a bit in the 20s, and the upgrade curve isn't that steep. A well statted lvl 22 piece of equipment will beat a 26, higher rarity will beat higher level but lower rarity, stuff like that, so a good piece of gear can last a reasonable amount of time.
