Lock Target with MMB?

What the heck does this mean? Trying to do the warp target tutorial.

I hit my middle mouse button and nothing happens. I thought maybe my mouse is broken so I hit the R Stick on my controller and nothing happened. What am i missing?

You have to select a target from the Scanner (T-key), then you back out of the Scanner, align your ship to the marker and press mmb.

Try pressing "B" to bring up "reachable" systems. Or go to the map with "M" then select the current system, then press "E" to get the system detail, then select a destination target. I too find the warp thing a little cumbersome and not very clear during the tutorial.

Hitting B helped, thanks. I was following the tutorial instructions to the letter.

All they told me to to was bring up the scanner, select the mining station, then lower the scanner. When I toggled the scanner off the ship would realign sharply so I assumed it was realigning me to point at my destination.

It was just pointing me at empty space :(

Warp to planet. let warp drive cool. Hit B to bring up manual warp drive n hover over purple target until it charge up. hold shift n jump to it.
