i think hotas support is experimental at best.
There should be ready pre-settings for the most popular joysticks (ready by 1 click), and then (if someone doesn't like something), the ability to edit them - as in other games of this type. This game is very fun, but I don't have to say that it's one thing to control a spaceship with the mouse and another with the joystick.
I also have the Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Hotas, It worked in game for me for a few minutes than disconnected from the HOTAS. Tried many times with the same result.
Yes the dogfight with my x52 is very hard, almost not realy playable... and very easy with the mouse. wee need an efficient radar in game to follow enemy ship more seriouly. this game is amazing with a very big potential. i like it
My issues are:
1. There are 16+ keyboard buttons that can't be mapped to the HOTAS, because they are not listed on the SB2 Input Manager list.
2. Pressing one of the un-mapable keys (or any key or mouse button) drops you out of HOTAS mode into KB+M mode.
3. There is (apparently) a way to switch back to HOTAS mode (see link below), but I do not know what key this guy's "Pinky Button" is mapped to.
