A true diamond in the rough, this game would have more polish if it had a bigger budget and a larger team working on it, but right now it's just one mad Turk doing more in the short time he has been working on it than the Star Citizen team accomplished in 10 years with a $500 million budget. The future is bright for this game and it's dev.
I think I will give it a try, it seems like No Mans Sky. I got that when it was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and now it's one of the best space games out there.
There are many AAA games that would love to have 300 - 700 concurrent players, even after full release. While this is in EA, many would have purchased it but put it on the back burner for later.
You say that this game has youtube love - seriously? Relatively, there is hardly anything on youtube, twitch or the net generally. The hype really hasn't started yet.
This game is a sleeper - i predict that it will win many awards and become one of those games that people talk about fondly in 20 years, like we do about Freelancer and the original Elite games.
:P
Steam never brought it to my attention, although my list is full of space games.
You are right about low Twitch coverage. I'm one of the few that stream it. I'd love to see it get more attention, but word of mouth is slowly spreading it around at least. Given time I sure it will snowball in popularity.
On the other hand, the original Mount and Blade was developed by a single guy, too, with the help of his wife. Coincidentaly, he also is Turkish.
Btw ... Manor Lords is being developed by a single dev, too. I wonder where these individuals get the strength to achieve this. This looks like moving a mountain to me. I'm sure I could not.
