Starfield and good graphics, hahaha it is using ancient creation engine erected from paleolithic gamebryo from TES Arena and later TES games. It is the most horrible and unstable engine on par with Unreal 4. The worst thing in it was never ending loading of every interiors and exteriors with 50% chance of crash. Even the best modders are unable to fix it. So believe me don't expect high quality from bugthesda, they are unable to deliver it. Maybe modder's will fix this game later but only if they receive full access to source code.
won't happen without mods; i'm pretty sure^^

both the creation engine and the Unreal engine are roughly the same age, but your right about the crashing issues, however one engine makes modding very easy to work with where the other simply doesn't.
so i guess that's the only thing that makes the creation engine a better option, Unreal engine has upgraded their engine many many times within the last two decades, where it seems bethesda has used the same version since the early days, granted starfield is created in the upgraded creation engine, which makes it a bit better, but not much better.
however modders did solve the never ending load screen issue, they found out that it had to do with the physics part of the engine, they basically made a mod that would speed up your fps during load screens to 300fps instead of 30 at most, the game is capable of this, you just have to make a few changes in the ini and control panel to make it all work i got this working for both my skyrim and my FO4 setups. they also figured out how to somewhat unlock your fps to play the game at higher fps so the game doesn't need to be bogged down to only 60fps, the game now plays at 122fps given your hardware is good enough, my hardware is a bit limited so i only get around 70 to 90fps with this fix, but it's still better than being locked at 60, now i can run an ENB effectively without destroying performance.
but your right, creation engine has a ♥♥♥♥ load of issues.
i understand that English isn't this devs first language, but for what he's been able to accomplish with only a 2 years of working on this game, i was impressed at just how much he was able to accomplish in such a short time, it actually makes me think he hired some contractors for some of the things he needed in order to do it or maybe he had an AI make some of that code lol, idk, but for one man to do is simply astonishing and unbelievable.
star citizen will never be released lol, it's the old bait and switch tactic i'm afraid, they bait you in with promises of the final product, but they switch back to not following up on that promises years later, and they have what was it, billions or dollars at their disposal?
like not even AAA game developer's as greedy as they all are have this much cash for a single game alone lol, it's the grift that never stops grifting.
Personally I made a Cargo ship for mining that has 3 Cargo bay slots, and 16 drone slots usable at mining Level 1. I reduced the overall speed (heavy loads don't move all that fast) and maneuverability, but slightly upped the shields and armor to keep things balanced.
No, I'm sorry to say I do not know --nor heard of-- FMod before. I agree I do not want to see over-powered mods but just more balanced content. That's why I mentioned town layouts/designs as opposed to mod added weapons, ships, etc.
somethings don't need to be shared like negative posts
