Anyway the only thing you need are golds, the rest is pretty easy
Since we are basically early access testing the game, cheats and such would be very useful to get back on track when your save will no longer be compatible with newer versions. Or if you're stuck somewhere.
by the way at the moment there is no mention about console commands or built in cheats.
Maybe they will add them, by now the best is cheat engine
After losing my first game to a crash, I used Cheat Engine to give me an additional 20 start points (really doesn't seem necessary as I've gotten into the meat of the game, but at the time, it made sense to me) and it was a really basic 4 bit search to find those 35 points I get to assign - maybe an extra 90 seconds when creating my character.
Cheat codes and console codes can really ruin a game for people who can't help themselves when an advantage is available. By making it necessary to get additional applications like a Cheat Happens trainer, Cheat Engine table or just tinkering with the memory, it actually provides an enjoyment safeguard to many gamers so they can enjoy the game long term instead of becoming gods via console commands that were available to them (therefore considered part of the game) causing them to get bored and quit playing after a few hours.
Then there are folk like me and (I suspect) you, who cheat to shore up areas of the game we don't enjoy or that we just don't have the skill to play at the level we do the rest of the game where the cheats actually help create more engagement and love of the game. Basically the whole idea of, "I love this game! Hated this part, but I found a work around, so I can continue to enjoy the other 98% of it for the next 5,000 hours!" instead of "I would love this game, except 'xxx', so I'm going to play something else".
What's wrong with making us take an extra couple of steps if it means others enjoy the game a lot more while we get to, too?
I personally use cheats to set up scenarios and get to the action I want quicker.
Doubt it'll work, but that was the goal.
yea happens to me a bit.. so i got lazy.

ship goes like 35k now lol.
(cheat engine)
Really hope the dev is reading this and implements console commands or some way to cheat. Make it somewhat difficult if that is necessary, like being forced to edit a file and turn a 0 into a 1.
will be updated soon i guess
