How to equip Mining Laser. Joined Mining Guild

I just joined the mining guild and am supposed to get a random mining laser, but for the love of all that is holy, I can't figure out how to equip it in the Services tab.

Anyone can help with that?

that mining laser is not for the ship, it is on you character, and already equipped, jump to an asteroid field, find a patch you want to mine, get out, jump on that asteroid/walk on it, hit TAB, scroll that orange/brown bar to 99, hold right click and then hold left click.

you can use it with the ship module, you have to go to the mining ELITE screen, on first one buy a mining ship, on the second, but each type of mining needed equipement, your have 3 needed equipement, laser is part of it. Then equip it on your ship, ( laser is not to equip as weapon but on the far right of the equipment screen ) then when going an asteroid press "4" and your mining module with remove from the ship and you can mine

Just to confirm, you need to specifically have a mining ship in order to mine asteroids from a ship?

yes, but you need 2 of the 3 misactor equipment installed(sold separately), the laser and arm, dont think the third will useful for awhile(misactor skills)

I have been trying this, 4th asteroid now no stone or coal harvested with efficiency at 99% I can not figure out what I am doing wrong atm.

you aren't doing anything wrong coal barely if ever gives anything out of the nickle/coal ore i mined i got like 3 coal and 100 nickle and even then that was mining for 5 mins at time without getting anything

i havent hand mined yet but it takes me like a good few hours to mine everything to fill my ship full of rare materials

hand mined 100 coal and 80 gold on a planet from simple rocks in less than 30 minutes...but it aint worth the effort, XP gains are not existant (level 1 basic miner) , and selling stuff gives u only 30% profit , while the rest is eaten by taxes and guild cut. A waste of time compared to a simple kill mission as freelancer. I threw away 100 coal cuz my ship was full and instead filled it up with 86 gold ....my profit would have been a TOTAL GARBAGE of 36k from a load that is worth 100k+

Not at present, have you tried speaking to the receptionist where you sign up?

Curious if the game notices you don't have it.

Yes I did, to no avail. I also checked the weapon consoles on stations, no option to re-buy it, that's not the end of the world for me, i guess I can still use the Misrator from my mining ship on planets?
