No matter what I do, signal strength is at 1-2%.
1. Drop Catcher probe and leave it alone
2. Drop the Booster probe
Adjust the size and strength of the probe until the number are close to 20
Once the numbers are there slide the strength to 0
3. Drop the Merger probe
Adjust the size and strength of the probe until they start moving close together
Keep an eye on the numbers and then slide the strength to zero to stop them
Repeat step 2 and 3 until you get the sig
@Dennap you have to do so on the system map on the bottom of the map you will see little tabs for the different options, select scanning option it will pop up the probes
Yes I know, thanks
But i'm sure it's a bug.
if you overlap them nicely you can have both going at the same time with the right power set you can keep the signal #% stable
The goal is to get them all in contact with each other
as for a video hit esc click video tutorial -> scroll down click "scanning" watch and listen/read theres a few "pages" it the arrow on the button to change to the next one all of them explain everything in detail.
which the video that its showing and remember that some have multiply pages to go through like the scanning one is like 4 pages alone if some one was to make a video it would be the exact same thing in that in that tutorial right now.
also for people confused why the boost/merger is greyed out or the probe just auto sends back to them well thats because there is NO extra signal in the system to scan not all systems have "hidden" things
as for the surface probe i honestly have no clue whats it for Lol
I haven't been able to scan ♥♥♥♥.
I get the echoes, I get them to merge, then they disappear (at varying numbers not just when the reach 0% or over 20%) and nothing is revealed.
Every damn time this happens.
Not to mention that sometimes it says that there is something to scan but there are no echoes on the map.
if you get them all together and not going over 20% or below 1 (you'll hear a little ding as they merge together and disappear)
you either didn't get enough to survive or its bugged but you are doing the scanning right.
it also doesn't really matter ATM all the places i've been to that it reveals are bugged and you can't interact with the bases/stations.
