Default. Never made a change.
Never said there wasn't.
I failed 3-4 times before I got my first successful run in standard.
And since each start is random, you can stumble onto a really tough opening few days. But that's the compelling aspect of the game.
At other times I've been mauled by a wolf that appeared out of nowhere(partially my fault to be sure because I was so surprised that I flubbed the controls for a few seconds). I've also had a near death encounter due to not finding enough water in the early game(and food can be a bit tough too if you don't find a can opener, or spawn in a place with animals to hunt).
That said, in the early game you should just go stealth with a quick melee weapon. If zombies spot you backpedal while attacking and you should interrupt most of their attacks. You want to level up anyway so you can get health regen at level 2. From there tear up all clothing you find into rags so you can boost your health a step or two beyond the regen amount. That should keep you safe in the early game. Find a decently sized PoI and build an item that blocks spawns so you have a place to sleep and recuperate.
At the end of the day, the zombies are pretty easy because you can stun lock them with any melee weapon. So, in the beginning, just lure zombies one-by-one until you can get a fire ax.
I understand that (no nut)november is stressful time for many, but this isn't the place, mmkay
Little men typically say small minded things.
Enjoy being the little man you are.
Feel free to show me where I was asking someone to solve any issue. I assume your lack of reading comprehension is a large issue in your life.
Usually, guys like that are going for the no nut 2020's, however involuntarily.
