Like making my own goals like collect every weapon/item 25 times without using the debug menu and have at least 20 bases with at least 5 storage boxes in each base on every end of the map and have at least even one base inside some of the deadly zones, Maybe even setup a few camps.
"A camp that i call it has 1 tent, fireplace and 1 table with 1 light and 1 well with each camp walled or fenced off with an gate or door."
These are just a few ideas to try my friend.
For the record the game is more than 2 years old and there are more players than ever with the game as is and there were many fans of the game long before you came to it which was more than 2 years ago.
Its been said before and i will repeat,
"Just be patient and wait." life is too short to speed up everything to an end.
Stop being those type of players, the OP has a point as the game is billed as Open World, not Sandbox. Which is the type of game most of you are talking about.
I'm fine with the game as it is, but that's because of the Road Map, I like the plan. But that also means I'm not playing the game until most of that Road Map is implemented, as there is literally nothing to do in the game. Yes, it plays well, looks good blah blah blah, but beyond running around and blasting some zombos for a few minutes, it's boring.
If the game would have been billed as a Sandbox, I wouldn't have bought it. As I don't want to have to make my own objectives or come up with ways to enjoy the game. Hell, even a roaming horde would be something simple that would add excitement and suspense. I mean, why build a base when there's no NPCs that visit, no attacks on it, no nothing. Oh wait, I can find one of those signal things and plop it down, there by forcing me to create my own fun...Boooorrrrriiiiinnnnngggg.
But I digress...
It's a great proof of concept/demo, but needs many things to an actual game.
