New crashing issues

The game has been solid since I bought it a few months ago. Recently though, the game will crash immediately upon loading the most recent save. I can sit in the main/start menu indefinitely. Once a save is loaded, I have maybe ten seconds to two minutes before it crashes.

Laptop is up to date and otherwise healthy. Windows update is set to auto, game is set to auto update, and this is a new (today) problem.

Any feedback or suggestions to help me out?

I have almost the same problem, only after a few waves of playing, my screen freezes
