Abandoned High Tier Loot Crate

Anyone run across one of these yet? Found one randomly in a house, was filled with a bunch of weapons/legendary attachments. So far I've only come across the one and it didn't re-spawn on a reload. Anyone have more info on them?

All I know is when you mouse over a POI on the map, it tells you if it has one, and if you have looted it.

Wow that's awesome! Do you know if they ever respawn or are they a one and done thing?

I'd imagine they respawn to whatever setting you have all your other loot. By default, saving, logging and reloading save regenerates loot instantly.

They are in fixed locations and do not respawn. Unlike the boss of the area that does respawn.

In terms of loot in them, its somewhere between a large pile of military boxes and a compound crate. I have found a few legendary items in them, but not as many as a compound crate.

Well,they do respawn. However they also despawn for a while before they come back.
Not sure about the cycle tho. I know that because my "base" is near one and i check
daily....

Maybe they respawn in another spot then. Its just that for most things they always spawn in a specific spot, and I'd recheck those places and not see it.

The one in my neighborhood is normaly there,then away for a while,than back again.
Thats all i know for certain.

Well the ones in Ellwood and that large mall, haven't respawned for me after revisiting them a week after looting them, so maybe only some respawn.

Can confirm that large mall respawns reliably on savequit.

The gun shop near the Valley Safe Zone (the one usually a horde site) has one on the roof.

The ones i've looted don't appear to have respawned - also the map tool tip for the location will show the previously defeated location boss as 0/1 killed when they respawn, however the container looted remains at 1/1, which i guess indicates it has not respawned as well.

Would be super interested in knowing what triggers the respawn, given some people seem to be getting it, whilst others are not...

Just went back to an area I had cleared yesterday. The counter was still showing 1/1 for the container being looted. Ran up to the container spot and it was there again. I'm wondering if these containers are like how the hidden caches work...sometimes they're there....sometimes not.
