Can't "search"

F or search doesn't work for me. I've tried uninstalling and reinslling the game. Deleting the folder. Remapping keys. Still I cannot search anything except dispatched zombies. Everything else when clicked on does nothing except show "press shift for quick search" and even that doesn't search it just auto fails and makes the camera shake and noise you get when failing.

I've tried to reach out on discord for help and I get nothing. This is really frustrating me and I hope someone here has answers?

Quick search doesn't fail. Just keep holding the buttons down and after the camera shakes, it will keep searching.

You also have to hold "F" for containers, whereas it you just press "F" to search bodies.

I understand all that. Holding F on containers does nothing. Additionally the quick search does nothing but fail and shake the camera. Basically the game doesn't let me loot containers. I've tried everything.

I stopped playing. Dev doesnt give a ♥♥♥♥ to reply or fix stuff so I am over it. Its an asset game anyways. Glad I didnt spend much for it or id be pissed.

I'm also having this problem. Holding F or L-Shift don't work for me. Only things I can loot are zombies I kill. I came back to the game after a couple months and kinda bummed I can't enjoy the new content.

Guy's you have to start a new game with each update.. i have never had problems because i start a new game each time.. If you don't want to restart each update then maybe Early Access games isn't for you.. All Early Access games do this it's a known problem.. Just use the Debug Mode or just wait until the game is completed.. But don't bash the Developer because you'r mad that something isn't working because you didn't make a new game.. The developer is always posting info of what's coming up..

Guess what, champ? I started a new game, twice. Both times, I am getting the same problem. Unless you work for the developer stop cheerleading and making assumptions.

Update: Air drops are lootable for me, but still nothing else aside from killed zombies. Also tried creating a new save and still having the same issue.

Maybe try verifying the installed games files through steam library ((right click game goto properties than to installed files section)) if you already have not tried, see if that finds or fixes it.
Might not but after updates on other games verifying them sometimes helps.
