Radiation? FAR out of wack...It's Needs a rework..Ruins the whole game

LV 30, been playing 2 weeks...
Can't do any of the bunkers, prison,not a damn thing. I go during the day, still can't see ♥♥♥♥. Bring 20 rad pills that took me days to farm.

I am typically dead or running from the place within minutes.
I shouldn't have to go through 20 rad pills, 10 or more filters and walk away with nothing...
The whole this is just stupid...

I get the radiation, but the levels are far to high, or your pills do not last long enough, And having to stop and replace filters while taking damage it the worst....

Who thought up this idiotic scenario?

Can't enough the game, because you can't go to the bunkers and find better loot...Fix the masks, or the pills, or something...

Totally ruins the game

are you using the filter on your mask? If you don't put a filter on it, you will die just as quick as not having a mask.

Also first you know filter is running out is when you have already lost 25% health and have seconds to replace filter and take pills plus meds to heal

That's strange, with the military mask one filter lasts almost 24h in game for me. I just looted the Airfield today, and i was running around so long inside that the loot containers respawned TWICE and i still had filter power left over...

It took me some time too
but always have your rad maxed and dont get hit
+ getting the purple or yellow mask makes it a lot easier

and check your filter before going in

Even the HAZMAT breather is 99% effective. I have one, and just handled my first escapade into an infected zone (those ones that pop up across the map); next to the gun store NE of the Valley Safe Zone. Killed everything and looted the place dry and used perhaps 1/2 of my filter. Had to pop a pill, that was it.

You need the best mask, I think I bought mine. In setting turn up the amount of medical items you get in loot and you will get more Rad pills. I just used one filter and a few pills for when zombies got me.

I'm not sure how the tutorial is suppose to go, but when I got to the radiation part of it I put the gas mask on and I inserted a filter on it and I still died in seconds.

You need the gold legendary mask, it uses up the filter at a significantly slower rate. Buy it from the wandering trader for 20 credits. Well worth it.

Fully depends on mask type, some masks are not nearly as efficient as others will toss a suggestion to the dev to add a drain rate for how long it takes for a filter to run out in the mask.

I also died to the tutorial. Asking you to understand that you need to load the filter in the mask while being in a hazard zone is'nt a great design

Anyway, to answer OP question, as everyone already replied, you "just" need a 100% gas mask to be able to go there. I dropped the gold one during a raid if i remember correctly. I'm able to raid in hazard zone using the same filter all day long. I did the airport today, i lost less than 40% of my filter.

Sadly the real only way to make sure you dont have as many issues is by having the 100% mask most have found, lower % ones do work but not nearly as effective.
