Any plans for Base Building and NPC Recruitment
If you have ever played Kenshi. This game would be awesome if you could find survivors and build a base like Walking Dead at an old prison somewhere, would be amazing.

The survivors could be autonomous and perform simple tasks or act as shop keepers and guards. Just a suggestion.

Rudimentary base building is also already in the game :D its not anything super special yet but the groundwork is there.

Is there any way to use existing buildings that actually have a roof? Since you can't building a roofed structure (yet) You should be able to find some protection from the way too frequent storms !

Is it really that hard to answer Chozen's question on steam?

In a way, you can take over anything you want, If you check some youtube videos, there are empty bunkers you can use, or a lot of people like to use an abandond firestation (quite central position) as their base, since it has a ton of space. However, if there is stuff in the building you want to use, you have no way of clearing it for now.

No it isn't. However, the game has 1 (yes ONE) dev, who does this as a side hustle and has an actual job to go to on a daily basis. The guy chose his priorities otherwise he would be swamped with answering discussions and barely any work done.

Really it depends how the a person looks at it and depends on the game dev's life/habits and such, they very well may be very busy outside with his own life which yes they do have a life in spite what some people out there think and because of this they need to use their time wisely.

If they were force to answer all questions everywhere for this game that were posted on all the platforms the game dev setup for the game they be too busy to even work on the game.

They made the choice of using discord, people can use that to talk to the dev or don't and hope what they want is asked by another person that is if the game dev don't do anything on other platforms that they setup.

In my opinion, it would be nice to see the Dev more active on the platform he's selling the game on ... instead of only a third party tool like Discord or Reddit.

But I agree, he's working alone on this, and has a life, and as someone who's started making his own game, I can readily attest to the fact that it eats up a massive amount of your free time, and everything you add to the project needs a lot of time, in both code errors, behavior bug fixing (like when you add logic to something and as a result of your logic, you see it spinning around wildly in the viewer).
So yeah, I completely see the fact that answering every question everywhere is a massive strain and takes time out of more important aspects of creating the game.

But as said, a little more activity on the platform where the game is being sold would at least put people more at ease, and not make the dev "feel out of reach", since not everyone uses or wants to use Discord, but everyone who has the game uses Steam.

I mentioned this to the Dev awhile back on Discord and he agreed. He did good for about a week or so and then went MIA again. I got alot of backlash for it like, "he can't be everywhere." "He has a real job too." I totally get that but then he goes and starts a Twitter page and I have heard where he is also on Reddit now. So, which is it?

I totally agree, we bought the game here so we should be able to get help here. After all that's what we're here for and what EA is all about. To report bugs and other issues. Does no good if the Dev never sees it.

I only started going to Discord to stay informed on whats going on. Not a fan of it at all to be honest.

Thanks for your replay Skeleton I'm glad to hear that he agrees. We all have busy lives full time jobs, families, side gigs and so on. Spending over 1/2 hr searching thru the Discord clutter for a similar question and finding one that was never answered is a waste of my time also.
