How to fix your game

If your game is crashing at launch, crashing while trying to enter survival mode, etc read below for possible fixes.

Verify Integrity of Game Cache

In Steam:
Click on Library.
Click on Installed.
Right-click SurrounDead.
Go Properties.
Click on the Local Files tab.
Click Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

Steam launch parameters

Try putting one of these commands in here:
Click on Library.
Click on Installed.
Right-click SurrounDead.
Go Properties.
In launch parameters either type in; -d3d11 or -dx11 or -dx12

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000*064

Go to:
%AppData%\Local\SurrounDead\Saved\Config\Windows
Find a file called 'Settings' and open it
Go to r.AntiAliasingMethod=4 and change it to r.AntiAliasingMethod=3
If you do not have the above command add in r.AntiAliasingMethod=3

Issues with save games

Try turning off steam cloud
Click on Library.
Click on Installed.
Right-click SurrounDead.
Go Properties.
Disable 'Keep Save Games In Cloud'

Screen Black?

In SurrounDead.
Click Settings then Video.
Change anti-aliasing mode.

Delete SurrounDead AppData files

(This will delete saves, make sure to backup SaveGames)
Go to:
%AppData%\Local\SurrounDead\Saved
If crash on load of saved game

Install DirectX

Reboot after installing
