Mouse control in this game is terrible
I get constant stuttering, hitches and lag. I used the arrow keys to see if it was the game, and the arrow keys made turning and aiming more smoothly.

You need to use a 3rd party program to enable controller support right? I know for a fact you can't just plug it in and play.

If it's anything, it's just your mouse.

They why is it good in other games?

Don't know if this helps, but worth a try. Go to your Control Panel, Hardware, Mouse and in the Mouse options uncheck "Enhance Pointer Precision". I play the game on Win7 64 and until i unchecked that box the game was unplayable. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just beared with it and finished the game some time ago. It's not noticeable if I move the mouse real quick.
I've never had any problems with mouse aim in this game, however I can't bind buttons 3 & 4 (thumb mouse buttons). Can the controls be edited in a config file somewhere in the game's local files?

KB+M is always the way to go on PC, btw >.>

It's a preferance. Of course I won't use controller on a PC multiplayer game. But if it's single player why the ♥♥♥♥ not?

Nope.

Disabling pointer precision in windows is a good way to start. That can sometimes lead to skipped inputs, especially since FEAR 2 has mouse acceleration pre-baked in.
