Well not every game is for every person.
I knew i'd get a reply for saying that. Lol
Everyone has their own tastes, thats what makes people awesome.
I also didn't find them that good. However, the first one is indeed the best.
Actually, I like F.3.A.R. too, even if it isn't that good as the others.
The COOP was pretty funny also the multiplayer matches.
It's a bit boring to play it alone and the horror isn't there. It's just a madhouse but no horror.
But if you have anyone who want to play a weird madhouse game together in COOP, it's funny for a few hours (playing through doesn't take that long).
I wish someone would still play the multiplayer.
FEAR 2 is a well-made videogame, though I personally led a boycott on the developer's forums before its release being as that the developers had lowered the interactivity of the environment from FEAR 1 where everything was destructable, useable to block enemies, and leaning around corners was a mechanic. FEAR 2 is an example, along with Call of Duty 3, which was console-only, of PC videogames becoming multi-platform & consolized, which was the beginning of the skin & map-DLC instead of expansion packs we see today. I've led rallies against practices by ex-favorite developers of mine Overkill/Starbreeze, where I had been friends with some of the developers, due to their skin & map-DLC practices with Payday 2, and Tripwire, another ex-favorite developer of mine, most recently with Killing Floor 2. Tripwire Interactive, however, seems to have backed off a bit, and is accomodating the community first instead of profits. Overkill is pretending to, though their recent "free updates" have not persuaded many of their ex-community & fans to return to the fold. Mafia 2, a different videogame, looked to be like FEAR 2 to FEAR 1, as Mafia 1 is another classic videogame and a favorite of mine, but when we gave civil criticism about the destructability of environments and their arcade-like car mechanics relative to the realistic 1920s driving of Mafia 1, they fixed Mafia 2. Mafia 2 is also a favorite of mine.
FEAR 3, or F3AR, is not a well-made videogame, and I'd suggest not buying it or the fourth title in the series. The series has sold out like Call of Duty, but in a bad way. At the least Call of Duty titles are high-quality, though obviously as overpriced as Evolve.
I think that's a bit unfair. I found both Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate to be worth playing. The gameplay is the same as the original, while both the combat and the scares have been dialed up if anything. Plus you get some new weapons to play with.
Yes, they are not canon, but I disagreed with you describing them as "junk cash-ins". I think they are quite well-made and worth playing even if their storyline takes place in a "parallel universe".
Agreed, so much fun! : )
Fear 3
Fear 2
Fear 1
By doing this you go from ♥♥♥♥ to good, you'll be less annoyed then if you'd play each game in proper succession.
FEAR 1 is the absolute best, it has amazing combat. FEAR 2 and 3 are more rail shooters, where guns don't really have any proper feedback.
