Honest Opinions?
Let's assume I don't care if I can see high resolution sweat dropping from player's balls. Let's also assume I don't care about playing online where there have been and always will be cheaters. Is this a solid basketball game to play by myself? Does it simulate stats properly? All I want is a decent basketball game but I can't tell if this is one because everyone is raging about uber graphics and trying to be pro online.
It is the only up to date basketball game on PC even though it is not much different to 2K21 and earlier version. So far I have noticed a few improvements like charging fouls and some defensive animations but other than that it feels very similar to the previous 2K21, only a bit more bubbly. On the animations such as the shot meter which I think still needs a little more refinement but it's a big improvement over last years really unpopular trigger shot aiming which was a complete flop. For playing offline against just the computer and if you can guarantee you enjoy basketball quite often then it might be worth your uptake but if you plan to play online like I do sometimes then be prepared to be let down by a host of cheaters and pay to win systems. Also the new online triple threat mode to get to the higher tier awards is unattainable as you have to pass points allowed to keep progressing not just wins and as highlighted playing against cheats it becomes near impossible to keep that tally under for long enough to reap those rewards.
Yes, it's a good basketball game, best 2k/basketball in at least 7 years. Just go it to it knowing that you will run into a ton of cheaters in online play and that 2k doesn't care about this platform and any bugs you encounter.

Cool. I have never played any basketball online and never will. As long as it is a good single player game I'll buy.
How can i edit my lineup in quick match when i want play offline ? I see only "Ready" status :/
guys is there anyway to get a wireless ps4 controller to work it works fine for rocket league and almost every other game but 2k22 which i think is funny since 2k is more of a controller game then alot of games its like rocket league easier to play on controller anyway anyone know any fixes for this it just acts like a controller isnt there and its connected through windows i can even open up steam on it but i cant play 2k unless its wired which my wire is broke so i use wireless
the player movement speed has so much problems especially offline games when you vs AI. For example, a guard with 90+ speed attribute on ball will move like a 50 speed player in transition, which i assume there are some sort of mechanism that 2k intentionally made this to happened which is bad in the first place. that means even if you a high speed guard that you will easily got chase buy a center off ball with a 50 or even lower speed rating, how could this be a good logic of the game?
Second example is that when you do an iso with high speed and high acceleration player to a low lateral quickness defender, even if you got pass him half a body position, the defender can still push you out like he ain't behind you, it is purely annoying to play against AI this year, this is a issue happened in last game 2k21 that still exist in 2k22.
It's a shame that it appears they are making MyCareer pretty much online required, from what I can tell because in years past it was actually entertaining to take your own creation through the story mode and then into playing a career. At this point they aren't even bothering with the career story mode. But you may be abel to create a player and insert him into MyNBA mode (coach/franchise mode) which to me is still the fundamental guts of the game. I haven't tried that, but there is a Creation Center so I think it's doable? I'm like you - I much prefer franchise mode in these games and fortunately I think it's pretty darn good on this game and has been for a while. Incidentally the franchise mode on Madden has improved somewhat in the last couple of years too.
Is the game decent as a solo ?
I'm new to the series so I was wondering before I buy if it was worth investing in as a solo?
I'm more interested in the "PvE" aspect as I'm sure I can't compete with real players yet.
How much of the game can I access without fighting against real players?
Yeah, its pretty good if u are bball or sportsim fan.
Hows the single player?
i DONT PLAY ONLINE, HOWS THE FRANCHISE ? Also do they still have "all time teams" ?
Online is a vile cesspool, buying for offline franchise
How is the actual game this year ? Is franchise worth it ?
if you plan for only playing single player, go get a ps5 or xbox ss or xbox xx cause they got new content for franchise, otherwise its meaning less to play offline franchise in pc since they are the same for last 4 years.
