It is time for NBA 2K22 to be discontinued as of December 31, 2023. From January 1, 2024 this game will no longer be available for purchase.

If you already own the game you will still be able to redownload and play offline modes.

After this date, you will no longer be able to play multiplayer games or access any online game modes. MyCAREER and MyTEAM will no longer be available, and it will no longer be possible to earn Virtual Currency (VC). While you will still be able to enjoy Play Now, MyNBA, The W, and MyWNBA, any features that require a connection to 2K servers will be unavailable. This includes multiplayer, Online Leagues, and community sharing.

We thank you for being a part of our community and hope you continue to enjoy NBA 2K!

MyCareer is an online mode, the servers have been shut down.

Yeah it's BS that you pay how much for a game just to see you can't play myCareer because servers are not "supported" after a year lmfao.

Does that mean the game is pretty much unplayable right now? Found a copy for cheap and was thinking of getting it for collecting purposes but I don't like supporting companies that revoke access to their own customers like that.

Still feeling burnt by the recent "The Crew" debacle by ubisoft.

You can't sell games with this mindset. Many people buy this game for the career mode. If I'm going to play Play Now, there are too many NBA games in the market. Then you should declare the game as limited career mode before selling it. With these commercial tricks, your game sales will decrease day by day. I've reinstalled the game, as I wanted to continue my career after some years not playing, and seems that as 2K decided to shutdown the servers I am not able to play anymore on a game for which I've payed more than 50€?
Good to know, will not be buying any more 2k games, as is like burning my money.
