What happen to XP in The Rec?

I'm getting as much XP in a 3v3 game as I do in The Rec for the past week. The only attraction to The Rec and playing 20 minutes, many times with someone using a mod or a total ball hog, was that the XP was always respectable.

Pull an A+ grade with a double-double in a Rec game 3 times in a row, for a total of 20% XP across 3 games. I'm pulling 5-10% XP per 3v3 game, without the time sink of a Rec queue and game.

I guess 2K wanted to take away any bit of appeal to The Rec time sink. Wish I could say I'm surprised.
