I can see why people some people don't like the re-contamination and find it frustrating.
However the quote above is exactly what I thought it was and I'm completely fine with the game being this way. It is also a good way of introducing replay ability. There is also an in-game reason for it as well, which is explained when you find specific Holo-badges.
I personally prefer replay value to come from content or rewards and not setbacks to the main goal. That just makes the goal feel pointless to try in the first place if you cannot actually complete it.
No, I know it's not an easy goal in real life, but video games are not real life.
There's no "art", they're just making people do something tedious to pad out the game.

Video games are software as much as they are art, they require interactivity to progress.
I don't know why steam gave me a notification on a game I found disappointing for my lack of ability to feel like I accomplished anything but it had to be for this stupid reply.
It's the developers game and they've decided how the game should be played.
