Suit upgrade softlock?

I think I managed to softlock myself by using all the tech trash before unlocking the suit upgrade, and now there's no material left to craft it with. Everywhere I can access is completely clean save for one puddle that I also can't afford the upgrade for. Am I screwed?

There should still be some yellow crates around the edge of Metzi Trench (east half of the map). Those will contain tech materials!

I had to dip into the high-pressure zone to get it, but they were close enough to the edge for me to do it without dying. Thanks.

I've encountered this same issue. So far I've managed to gather 2 of the 4 electronic bits I need and while the high stakes dives into the depths without the upgrade are fun in a way it doesn't feel in line with how chill the rest of the game is. I just wanted to suggest keeping the goop scrubber locked until the player buys the depth suit, buying the scrubber is what locked me out. Or maybe just put more electronics closer to the east of the depths if you want to encourage the risky dives
