Ich habe mir, auch für RE 2 einen neuen PC zusammengestellt: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D, 32 GB RAM, ASUS Dual Geforce RTX 4070 Gaming 12 GB, SSD M.2 1TB. Und Schienen verlegen dauert jetzt statt 3 - 5 Minuten nur mehr 30 Sekunden.
DREISSIG SEKUNDEN??? ZUM VERLEGEN VON SCHIENEN??? Das ist eine Frechheit sondergleichen. Kaufe mir extra neuen PC und dann das?

I have build, also for RE2 a new Computer (pls look up).
Now the laying of rails lasts instead 3 - 5 Minutes only 30 seconds.

I agree at some point one of the last updates made building tracks and crossovers more laggy. However, even then, building them should not take more than a few seconds at a time, maximum.

As noted in another thread, where the person there had a similar issue, this is likely a glitch - possibly also associated with the update - which occurred sometime during a map playthrough.

Do you have this issue in all maps/saves? Or just specific ones?

Save often and if you see this reocurring, try reloading the game to the last one that works well.

Which maps are affected in the savegames?
Which DLCs are currently installed?

Please make sure that you have the recent driver updates and verified the gamefiles.
The newest build should be 1.5.0.62208 which you can check in the bottom-right corner of the Game.

It has gotten worse with the DLC's. First I playes America SouthEast, afterwards Great Britain, then Europe North West, than Journey to the East and now High Voltage. And alls has gotten worse and more worse.
High Voltage was unplayable with my okd Computer, it takes about 3 - 5 minutes for laying rails. With my new computer it lasts 30 seconds.

Ok, I have to correct my opinion because now it is ok. Laying rails takes only few seconds now.
I think this could be the newest patch (patch to patch 1.5).
It is ok now for me.

Because I think before this litte correction of the patch it's now going well. But maybe I am wrong and it was the big 1.5 Patch.
Does'nt matter, now it's working and this is fine
