Maybe they did this way to avoid clipping through terrain and other trains on counter direction. It might be a bug as well.
Hello Deadlock,
the Ride Along feature is so concepted, that you are moving from front to end of the train. This is handled mostly with WS and AD are mostly not used although also functioning.
With the mouse button 3 or the Mouse Wheel button, you can have mouse look.
This makes it easy to navigate the train from front to the end and looking for all the details.
- Cheers
When riding along, your can move arround via WASD and change camera angle via mouse.
The direction of your WASD movement is somewhat depending on your camera angle.
If you are facing towards the end of the train, you move to the end via W. If you are Facing the windows of the cars from one side for example, you move to the end of the train via A or D.
The path you can move is somewhat restricted by the train, in this mode you are in the role of a person, not a free camera. You can use the Center View feature for free camera movement.
Still, we are checking the behavior of the Ride Along mode.
