There is a demand - the city needs sugar for production.
Direct train from the sugar farm to the city.
Walks empty, does not load.
Saw several letsplayers with the same problem.
if you e.g. have a warehouse somewhere and any train (mixed or freight) which runs to the city, the game may have ordered it from there.
game currently ignores distance and time it needs to transport, when deciding where to get the goods from.
However, this can sometimes mean it can take weeks to fill.
It’s not a bug.
I even limit my Express Trains to 4 or 5 Cars because I want to move fast on dedicated Express double tracks,
with Freight Trains on separate double tracks. Once I have enough cash to build the separate double tracks.
Those Early Engines can just not provide enough pulling power at any reasonable speed, particularly on steep grades.
The demand increases as your population grows. A demand of .2 is not going to require repeated full trains in a short period of time. As Dray said, reduce the min car requirement to about 4 if you haven't already, then the train will wait at the station until the city needs 4 cars of sugar.
Focus on bringing in the other goods the city wants - especially anything that is at zero - and the population will start growing when you are fulfilling 60% or more of the cities needs.
At that point, you can change your min cars to higher if you want, or the train will just make more trips. You have to keep tweaking things as you play.
Any chance people seeing this problem also had purchased the rural industry?
sorry for my bad englich
This bug happens after you upgrade an industry.
I don't know if this started happening the first time I bought and upgraded an industry or if it was a combination of things that caused it. It was pretty late in the first scenario when I noticed it.
