Better yet, just build a double track the whole way between the Sugar Source Station and the Boston Station with the Gridirons in place as well. That will create the full set of Signals automatically.
You are going to need/use a double track between Boston and Albany very quickly, so start with it. You have more than enough cash to build it at start of Chapter 1. Or you will with a couple of quick bonuses for Connecting to Cities (Five Connection Bonuses in less than 125 Days). I have had all 5 Connection to City bonuses by 15 Jan 1830, in only 2 weeks (14 DAYS).
You are going to want a double track built all the way between Boston and Albany VERY Soon, the Sugar Station will be along the way.
That double track will see a LOT of trains in the future of Chapter 1. Your Mentor, who started you with cash and who pays you additional bonuses lives In Albany and wants the connection to Boston in order to help both Cities grow fast, particularly Albany.
DO NOT build any Warehouses early in Chapter 1, they are very expensive (for your starting Capital) and you do NOT need them, until things get a lot busier, IF at all in Chapter 1.
