Not able to connect stations

Trying to set up routes but some say not able to connect. Double checked tracks, direction arrows junctions and set way points but still says not possible to add station or way point even though track is connected. Not sure why ?

This did happen to me. I noticed a straight line across a group of adjacent tracks and ended up destroying it all and rebuilding it and that fixed it.

Now, that is if you really know how it all works and are not making a simple mistake like a branch line comes in from one side and the the other side doesn't have enough switchable tracks to allow a train coming in on, say, tracks 7 and 8 to go out the other way and properly switch to get where you need it go.

In that case the stations where you want it to go will not show up as selections. I have taken to building 6 or 8 tracks coming out of every station with a switch across them all (gridiron).. take long straight-run leads to do that and the distances don't always work out. It is hella-costly but has been saving me time in re-configuring things later.

One of the methods I use to try and find the problem is to pick the station and see what other stations do and do not light up. And then pick a station that did NOT light up and see what does and does not light up. It might help with narrowing the area that is creating the problem. Sometimes there a track that is not connected that you can't see unless you are zoomed in a bit. And sometimes your eyes see a wrong direction but the brain doesn't.
