How to turn off the HUD? (Devs - please read)

I'd like to be able to turn the HUD off for making videos and just because much of the time in game I'm just relaxing watching my trains moving around and doing ride alongs.

Having the HUD open totally ruins that for me. HUD=Annoying as HELL. No HUD? Relaxing, very relaxing.

Doing a search I found one post that referred (indirectly) to turning off the HUD. No joy there.

Is this a forbidden topic or something? Devs afraid to answer or can't answer? Don't wanna get tangled up with a "we can do it for nVidia cards using Ansel but can't do for AMD gpu's?

What's the deal? Being able to turn off HUDs is kind'a a standard feature in many games that use them. Why not in RE2?

F11 worked for me before the last update.. Let me see if it still does.

Edit: F11 does not remove the HUD now. I don't see anyway to turn it on either.

In the 1.0.3 patch notes [1] it states:

Bugfix: The F11-key can no longer be assigned to the photo mode, as this could cause a soft lock.

which I interpret to mean that the game will hang, forcing a restart.

Photo Mode does not appear as an option in the Keyboard Layout section so I guess it has been removed entirely until they fix the soft lock bug.

Photo Mode was never in that list.

I don't know what they are talking about "F11-key can no longer be assigned." Is that translated correctly? Where were we supposed to assign it?

If Photo Mode was disabled, why not say that in the patch notes?

Regardless.. We need to be able to turn off the freakin HUD. Please don't take away major functionality like this.

Still no reply from the DEVS. Seems the Kalypso devs are either afraid of the answer or worse just don't care about it's customers.

I guess Kalypso really isn't concerned about that!

I was on the fence about buying this game on Steam after having a great time playing it on Game Pass.

I'll wait for the devs to fix photo mode before making the purchase.

Just checked and F11 works totally fine as for today
