Tracks crossing tracks
How do you easily get one track to cross a single or double track?

Currently the AI sets the crossing track at ridiculous angles and once the other side "up and down" movement is no longer in single increments but huge ones.

This needs work devs

(If you mean 'fly overs' or dive 'unders').

The AI puts in a first attempt, mostly not good at all. You have to use a lot of line before and after the crossing to get a good one (max 2 or 3° going up; going down you can go as steep as the game allows, but exagerating isn't looking good. Sometimes you can use hills or mountains to get a more natural vertical alignment.

I don't think there can be a better AI for this part of the tracklaying.

(For a crossing at the same level it's more or less the same: you need space to get a good one.).

If the game supported diamond crossings or basic X crossings would be very nice. Crossing over tracks has always been a pain.

X crossings are supported. First draw the line over the track you want to cross. Then create a waypoint on the track you want to cross. Drag it around until it lets you build the track.

Often doubling tracks at X crossings doesn't work. If this happens to you, create the second track and then drag its waypoint slightly away from the first track.

(Although you can't cross the AI's tracks this way.)
