Bugs and glitches list

Hi, I thought of making this list of bugs and glitches to fix in the game, I will keep updating the list. Stalker 2 is a great game and I enjoy it a lot, it just need a lot of fixes.

This bug/glitch list have been sent to support, I will keep contact with them and updating the list when possible.

Performance bugs:
-Heavy FPS drops when visiting town areas. (since launch and still going)
-Less FPS and more FPS drops introduced with v1.2.1
-VRAM leaks issue happening with Quick Load of Quick Saves. (Confirmed v1.2.1 Thanks @Nite69)
-VRAM leaks happening after Emissions. (Confirmed v1.2.1 Thanks @Nite69)
-VRAM leaks when saving/loading (Confirmed v1.2.1 Thanks @Nite69)
-Memory leaks crash. ( Confirmed.Thanks @Bobzzo, also I got this crash, game is using 99% of RAM ! still happening in v1.2.1, now is more aggressive)
-When opening PDA/Map there is a huge FPS drop (FPS drops to 30~40 fps). Seems that is caused by DLSS FrameGEN. (Thanks @StaXks ) --> Tested this, FrameGEN ON or OFF, same result, fps drops to 30~40fps (Not fixed, still happening in v1.2.1)


General bugs:
-Permanent PSI symptoms (Still happening in v1.2.1 )
-Permanent PSI symptoms causing many issues like not able to sleep (This is still happening in v1.2.1!)
-Some artifacts spawns inside walls/objects/landscape and cannot be retrieved. (Confirmed, see screenshot example, Not fixed, still happening in v1.2.1):

-Stealth issues, enemies can see you through walls or behind their back or from really far away or without a line of sight. (Confirmed, Not fixed, still happening in v1.2.1)
-Hud auto hiding after some cutscenes (workaround is to open and close map).(Confirmed, Not fixed, still happening in v1.2.1)
-Diamond Exoskeleton PSI upgrade bug (The Suppressor Blueprint installation), when installed in the Diamond Exoskeleton, the upgrade will always shows as a new available upgrade, even when it was already installed. (Confirmed, Not fixed, still happening in v1.2.1)
-NPCs will randomly die inside bases when there is an emission: (Need to test)

-Bright wall bug in a building , is the wall in the building where Sultan and Beard are meeting during the side mission: Three Captains:(Need to test)

-There are anomalies that will send you out of bounds (negative coordinates in the compass) and crash the game, here are the screenshots: (Zones I found the below ones are in Pripyat and Garbage) (Need to test)

-Corpse of enemies blocking door, player unable to pass. (Thanks @NIXON KANE)(Need to test)
-Garry ( Guide at Yaniv Station ) is missing from his location/marker, he is MIA (still happening in v1.2.1).

Missions bugs:
-On the Edge [Side Mission]: Many bugs in this side mission (**Need to test**)
-Happiness for Everyone or Once More Unto the Breach [Main Missions]: Enemy Monolithians NPC can be interacted (talk, trade) while they are in enemy state. (**Need to test**)
-In the Name of Science [Side Mission]: Dogs with collars are marked with ? in the map as if they are an area. When you get close to the dogs the map still marking each of them. (**Need to test**)
-Three captains [Side Mission]: Instantly goes to the "it's in bad taste to leave" line immediately and completes (Thanks @Swantom) (Not fixed) (**Need to test**)
-The Lost Boys [Side Mission]: Mastiff is levitating, see screenshot: (**Need to test**)

-Back to the Slag Heap [Main Mission]: When heading to the Slag Heap, the helicopter the rotor blades don't move, they are static. (**Need to test**)
-Back to the Slag Heap [Main Mission]: Progress locked because ward guy doesn't spawn in diode's room on veteran difficulty. (Thanks @Alun1) (**Need to test**) Screenshot:

-Back to the Slag Heap [Main Mission]: After the cutscene with Col. Korshunov and Dr. Dalin, a new objective start: Talk to Richter. Richter is nowhere to be found and the objective marks the wrong location of Richter, this lock your progress, only workaround is to reload a save game before the cutscene and then Ritcher will spawn again. (**Need to test**)
-Wishful Thinking [Main Mission]: After ward fight is completed, Dalin doesn't initiate dialogue and has basic NPC options. Also waypoint is a locked door. (**Need to test**)

-The Last Step [Main Mission]: General frame drops and massive memory leaks and crashes during this mission. (Confirmed v1.2.1)
-The Last Step [Main Mission]: When fighting Strelok, during fight he dashed inside a wall and became unkillable, locking progression of main mission. (Confirmed v1.2.1)
-The Last Step [Main Mission]: After reaching Service Elevator, Col. Korushnov dissapear during cutscene (Confirmed v1.2.1)

What was fixed so far (from the list posted here) :

-Game crash at shader compilation. ( Introduced with v1.1.3 )
-Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION crash when windowed fullscreen.
-Issue with a bug with rat swarms in the Tornado Anomaly area (where you get Weird Bolt Artifact) close to Yaniv. See video below:

-General performance issue in the are of the Tornado Anomaly, getting 30fps or less with an RTX 4090. This was not the case with the previous version of the game, I had no fps issues there before, now is a slow motion mess.
-Random weapon spawning in inventory.
-Random weapon spawning and auto equipping when reloading a weapon.
-Permanent PSI symptoms ruining cutscenes.
-Permanent Toxic symptoms.
-Upgrading the carry weight of unequipped armors sitting in inventory will increase the player's carry weight permanently, can be done until max carry weight (140). This works with any armor that can have a carry weight upgrade.
-Issue with upgrading armors, the window is in incorrect position making it difficult to read or click the upgrade:

-Inventory flickering when moving items (introduced with v1.1.3?)
-Back to the Slag Heap [Main Mission]: In the cutscene with Col. Korshunov and Dr. Dalin, Col. Korshunov is invisible.

PS: Oh dear, oh dear, patch v1.2.1 introduced more memory leaks... this is very unfortunate. At this point I might take a long brake from the game.

Just got a crash due to memory leak after playing for about 1h. The game froze up, checking the task manager showed up it was eating all my RAM (32GB) I also found the below message in windows system log

Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: Stalker2-Win64-Shipping.exe (5988) consumed 86331428864 bytes

DLSS Frame Generation causes huge FPS stutter and drop when opening and closing PDA map. Disabling fixes issue. Problem is you lose 30-40 general and over FPS.
Thanks guys, updated the list, today is a difficult day for me, but this evening and weekend I will start testing more stuff.

Oh no, v1.1.3 re-introduced so many issues... I am unable to play at the moment lol
EDIT: Crashes, crashes and more crashes, oh my god, they really broke the game now.

You can throw in building pop-in in Pripyat when you turn around that are medium distance away is pretty bad now, previously I had never noticed it until 1.1.x patches

I can't get out of a building because the bodies of fallen enemies are right at the door and it can't be opened.

Alright, I had something similar but npcs were alive but and standing in front of the door. What mission were you doing? Or it was when exploring and if you can remember the location?

Updated again.
I would send the list to Stalker 2 support now so that they can get this information as early as possible. Then these issues can get fixed faster.

This was done before Christmas and I got an answer back, they are aware of this topic. :praisesun:

Hopefully this whole list gets fixed.
Monitoring memory usage, I see two things:

1- VRAM leak after loading a quick save is still happening, not fixed :(
2- RAM seems stable? There is something triggering RAM leak, as the other day my game crashed and it was using 99% of RAM... Need to find what is triggering this, Emissions ? If someone know what triggers RAM leak, please let me know.
