Locked in SIRCAA
Is there any fix for being locked in after fighting the ward during wishful thinking? I go to the top of the stairs and you have Dalin there, a guy bleeding near the wall with some guards tending to him and all the doors locked. Tried reloading previous points, even suicide to reload and nothing. Vidoes I have seen show general whats his nuts standing next to Dalin but hes not up there in mine.

Same problem! All doors are locked.

I’m experiencing the exact same issue, so… high five!
Unfortunately, I haven’t found a fix either. For some variations of the bug, there’s a potential solution by Richard Bah: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wo4ohYOnH-s

In my case, it allowed me to speak with the colonel, but the dialogue hangs—no escape key or spacebar works. So yeah, I’m stuck just like you guys.

For now, I guess the best option is to load a save from before heading to SIRCAA and explore elsewhere until they patch this out. It seems like the whole mission has broken nodes—depending on your choices, it might work for some people, but for others, like us, it doesn’t.

All the best!

I was hoping to avoiding having to install a mod to get around this but screw it ill give it a go. The strange thing though is that Dalin IS there....but the bald guy next to him is not. I can talk to Dalin but the only thing I can do is ask him the same thing you can ask any NPC, whats new in the zone. That whole background conversation that happens on the lower part of the screen never happens.

OK that fixed it...sort of anyways.

Can you elaborate? I was unable to continue.

Sure OK so it fixed it but it also kind of reset the start of the mission where you need to talk to Dalin / the general up in that room. DONT DO THAT. Also the thing keeps whispering at you, just ignore that as well. You can go look at the 3 new shadows to see their stuff down below but not sure if thats normal or not. Go out the mid level glass doors to the projector room and continue from there.

Also I tried manually type in that code to get it to reset and it did not work. Had to copy/paste it though I SWEAR I typed it right several times, to get it to reset.

Copy/paste this in consol XStartQuest E06_MQ02

Hope that helps

Thanks for your reply!
I checked out the ghost figures after the "fix," and they showed me different images. This makes me a bit unsure if this method might mess up my story nodes—basically, if it could overwrite some of the choices I made. Because of that, I'll just wait for now. I'm really enjoying the plot so far.
Thanks again! It's great to hear that it works for you.

It does not seem to mess anything up. After all that I kept following the quest line to meet with Noontide and got to make the noontide/ward choice same as normal.

Okay I just got this issue. So the above actually works and restarts the Wishful Thinking mission?
LightKeeper Dec 23, 2024 @ 2:14am
I have the same issue and it ♥♥♥♥♥♥ my game up. After you get to choose a side i chose the ward and it basically made me an enemy of everyone lmao. Can't progress anymore because of that. This game is slowly getting on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nerves. No answer from the support ofc.

I think Choosing to side with Ward is actually easier because siding with the loners cuts you off from some very important bases and makes even more people hate you lol. I think its normal if you choose one or the other then half the factions and NPCs will hate you

I understand what you mean but that's not what happened to me. If you follow the video mentioned above you'll have to enter 2 commands and there's one that ♥♥♥♥♥ you up if you side with the Ward unlike what the guy does in the tutorial.

FYI HERE'S HOW TO CORRECTLY DO IT:
  1. Following the above video, go ahead and install UETools mods from Nexus[www.nexusmods.com]
  2. Make sure you add the following text into your Game.ini file (again like in the vid)
    [/game/uetools/blueprints/bp_stalkergameinstance.bp_stalkergameinstance_c] EventDelay=0.1 ; The lower number is the more demanding UETools will be on CPU ConsoleKeyPrimary=Tilde ; " ` " / " ~ " ConsoleKeySecondary=F10 FullScreenKey=F11 ScreenshotKey=F1 UIScreenshotKey=F2 4KScreenshotKey=F3 8KScreenshotKey=F4 PreviousDebugTargetKey=PageDown ; (showdebug) NextDebugTargetKey=PageUp ; (showdebug) PreviousViewModeKey=F7 ; " [ " NextViewModeKey=F6 ; " ] " AutoExecuteConsoleCommand_01= AutoExecuteConsoleCommand_02= AutoExecuteConsoleCommand_03=
  3. When you get stuck the first time because Dr Dalin is not spawning for you (after fighting the Wardens and before talking to Agatha), use the provided command: open console and type
    XStartQuestBySID E06_MQ02
  4. Continue the quest while ignoring the objective telling you to go talk to Dalin again (don't do it, it's a repeat objective and will brick your progress again)
  5. Once you get to Dubny and choose a side you'll have different outcome. After the cutscene you'll wake up and have no objective. THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART. Depending on if you chose Ward or Noontide use these commands:
    • If you sided with Noontide use
      XStartQuestNodeBySID E06_MQ04_Container_DalinDebugSpawn
    • If you sided with Ward use
      XStartQuestNodeBySID E06_MQ03_Container_DalinDebugSpawn

Here's a list of commands I used to find this solution.
Pretty sad what we have to do to make this game work...
