No matter how you get them, or if you sell them, all that matters for the achievement is that it triggers that little UI notification than you found a new artifact type.
Most of those are weak commons. The game, in an effort to actually be nice to the player, spawns higher tier artifacts more in the late game. This makes it harder to complete.
The game also tracks achievements by save slot (which makes no sense to me). What you can do, however, is load an earlier save in the same slot and collect the remainder that way.
Devil's Mushroom can be found on a scanner.
What kills the joy for me is that this is one of several achievements whose rarity is skewed by cheaters that just use the console to give themselves all the artifacts in one go.
Good luck.
I thought I would need all artifacts at one time, I didn't know I just needed to have had them at one point. That takes out 2-3 of them at least. I figured the lower tier ones weren't spawning anymore because I had progressed too far, thought I'd keep trying, but they just won't drop anymore. I've probably picked up over 50 hypercubes by now, plus many other legendary ones.
I have a save from about 20 hours in so I might load that, good idea thanks! I should have thought of that haha.
