Another Performance issue thread: RTX3080 game can't go over 45FPS in 2K?
So, PC with

> Ryzen 5 5800X
> RTX 3080 10Gb
> 32Gb RAM
> Game is installed in a PCIe4.0 SSD
> Resolution: 2160x1440p with G-Sync
> Game patched at 1.0.3
> Windows 11

No matter how I set up graphic settings: putting everything on low with dlss ultra-performance will go up to 49-54fps, while keeping everything on epic settings and DLAA will result in a 43-45fps situation. Even changing resolution to 1080p doesn't change much, while cranking up to 4K game simply stabilize on 30fps. This except while I'm on cities. There I simply get a -20fps from whichever was my previous framerate.

GPU is running on 65~75% while CPU is at ~70%. No VRAM issues (Windows show a maximum VRAM usage of 7.9Gb).

Performance mods seems to have no effect at all, And I really don't know what to do at this point. Reinstalling the game and start a new game had no impact on performance too.

Other games runs smoothly, so it should not be a system problem too.

I have Ryzen 5 5600x and RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB Ram, M2 SSD, playing on 1440p and I was reaching about 60-50 frames in open areas on Epic Settings with TSR Ultra Quality, 80% scaling WITH CUSTOM ENGINE.INI. In more crowded areas with buildings and others, fps drops to 30-40, Pripyat was like 30-40 fps all the time, game is poorly optimized, there is nothing u can do. Ive ended the game and last parts were so tragic in mind of FPS that I will not go back into the game if they will not fix it.

In all of this what Ive writed, UE5 game are beautiful but for right now, not a lot of companies knows how to optimized it well, withou t7800x3d/9800x3d you can do nothing right here, thats why A-Life 2.0 is not in the game because it would be a tragedy for perfomance.

If u want I can send you my engine.ini file which should help u a little bit, I have also improved Reflections, Pop-ups and other optimalizations :)

No need to tweek the files, They need to work on optimization, But for now, use this 2 settings,

DLSS quality,
Framegen Enable

I got Ryzen 7 5800x3d
RTX 3060TI
32GB ram 3200mhz,
With the only settings that really gonna give more FPS is
DLSS>Quality
Framegeneration>Enabled,

with these 2 settings i get around 100fps with custom settings, Epic to high :)

Would give a try, even if all the various Engine.ini I found on NexusMod seemed to have no effect at all...even the ones that actually have like tens of thousands of downloads

Guess its the only way, even if framegen really creates some nasty glitches, like aiming with red dot and moving around creates something like 5 different dots
