Does this game require internet to play?

I really want to play this game on my upcoming deployment but I cant find any information on if it requires an internet connection to play. I am looking to play it on my steam deck and will have absolutely zero internet connectivity. If someone could please test it by turning off all internet connectivity and launching the game. Thank you.

Yes, this can be played offline. It says it was unable to load my account (I had been playing before I tried offline). But then it loaded up right where I was and plays find, even has all my saves. Works just fine for offline play.
