BUBBS'S PDA?

Not gonna say where you find it, but if you have......is it stuck in your inventory now!? I can't seem to get rid of it and as someone who has OCD it's driving me crazy!!

I tried that quest multiple ways. Even ran back to town to get vodka to drink to his buddy. When i got back he was gone. So i assume he justnwanted you to get the body so he could take the artifact. Reloaded. Got paid for the body. Shot him and took everything. Stuck with the pda.

If I recall, this area in question is in the north west Lesser Zone. Near to the river between Lesser Zone and Chemical plant (unreachable before going to garbage).

- The area is filled with gravitational anomaly bubbles. I came across this spot while just exploring to see if I could get across the 'Pontoon Bridge', to access the Chemical plant zone, but obviously you can't get across yet. The following details spoilers for new players

- Anyway, in the middle of the anomaly you see a dead body, as you get closer, you hear a STALKER shout out, (paraphrasing): "Hey- can you help recover my buddy's body for me? Don't steal anything, that would be disrespectful".

- So I, thinking I'm crafty, carry the body behind the rock he's at and swag something of interest, an Artefact. But he somehow knew I'd done it?!?! Obviously algorithmic coding used, rather than NPC line of sight- eughh. I pick up the PDA beside the body and there is a recording on it. Read it, there are clues.

- Never mind, I recover the body and he wants me to leave him to be alone with his buddy. So I leave and carry on with the game. The PDA in my inventory doesn't explain much other than revealing that; Bubba owed money to the 'Shah', (The 'Brood' gang leader), which may explain why Bubba was out there looking for artefacts to sell, possibly.

- The only thing I can gather from this, since the PDA is stuck in my inventory, is that it must be involved with encountering said gang leader... Later, when you get into the Garbage, there is a place where the gang leader is based. It might be possible that the PDA that we all have stuck in our inventory could pass palms with the Bandit gang leader.

Once I got to the garbage and visited the main base there, (Slag Heap), I met the STALKER and he thanked me again for recovering his friend's body. We drank to his memory.

However, I haven't actually been to the gang's hideout yet, and I too still have the un-removable PDA. but just wanted to share my thoughts. Maybe pay them a visit? I certainly will be. It's not far from the Slag Heap, just out to the west a few hundred yards, I think.

The name matches the original name (Пузир meaning Bubble, hence the name Bubbs). Weird that they forgot to initiate the quest node tho, even after multiple patches. But then again it's not a high prio bug. Good thing we can use the console with mods.
