Bloodsuckers spawn rate are like a dogs. Tweaking Report.
Bloodsuckers in Stalker 2 in release version before patch one are so common, they are the most common enemy type after dogs or even at the same spawn rate.
Literally the boars (the most common and annoying enemy in Clear Sky and CoP) are less common to meet then Bloodsuckers.
It is more rare to meet Pseudodog or Sleep (Bayun) Cat then Bloodsucker.
Also I haven't met variations of Bloodsuckers in Stalker 2 as in CS or COP, they are all the same. No swamp bloodsuckers, no common bloodsuckers, no old ones.
In Stalker 2 all bloodsuckers are the same or I haven't met one.
I do like Bloodsuckers in this game, the AI is still have problems, but they are strong, bullet spongy and fast.
1. The problem with the spawn rate is that they are everywhere and from predator like stealthy enemy that pray on you it becomes a boring annoyance.
I just stop battling them because I am just annoyed and tired of them.
There is no point to fight them - just to spend your ammo and armor on them.
You can't collect any parts from them or anything, so they became the waste of time.
2. The AI makes them no better -
Bloodsuckers bonded to the Zone spawn will not leave it and will return immediately if the player is out of the zone or in save zone.
Bloodsuckers from the Random spawn will hunt you down for kilometers (which is good actually), but they do it the stupidest way ever - just circling around the player and because of the sounds you always knows where they are and may easily dodge their attacks and just walk - run until they get bored of you.
Also their AI is fixed on the Player, when they meet the enemy group of mutants or humans that will attack it, they (Bloodsuckers) will try to fight back in response, doing one hit on the enemy and then trying to run at the Player's current position, but while running toward the Player if they will receive the hit from the enemy group, they will change their course on group again.
And it just becomes Benny Hill circle run until Bloodsuckers final death, because AI is not sure and confident which target to attack, it has priority on the player but taking damage from other NPCs and it does break the AI.
Make it simple - the priority is the attacker first. It is faster and easier to kill dogs or bandits and return to hunt for the Player then running around like in circus.

3. The only one interesting mission with Bloodsuckers was the Ward Bravo team mission where this part of mission is an homage to the Poison the Bloodsucker's layer mission in Call of Prypiat.
And that is sad, that you actually meet the BloodSucker's nest only once and in the same fashion as in previous game.
It would be cool to be able to collect stashes or artifacts in other Bloodsucker's nest and be able to complete it in Stealth if you want.
Or killing the entire nest of Bloodsuckers would decrease their spawn rate at the whole location are until Emission cycle.
Actually I did finish Bravo team part of the mission in Stealth, which is impressive, cause the Stealth in this game is very sensitive.

4. AI hunting pattern - very weak comparable with COP or CS.
In Stalker 2 - Bloodsucker hunting pattern is very simple:
A. If the Player is on the move then chase behind him and if the Bloodsucker is faster then Player then it start to circle around him to get at Player's back attack position.
B. If the Player is static then it attacks from the front, then it makes some distance to make a circle and do attack from the front side of the Player repeating the attack cycle.
If being hit enough - the attack is canceled and It is trying to make some distance and repeat the front attack.
So why Bloodsucker is always trying to attack most of the times trying to be in Player's eyesight?
Isn't that supposed to be opposite tactic?
In COP Bloodsuckers are always trying to attack from the sides or from the back and do attack in Front only when there is not enough space to get distance or the frontal distance between Bloodsucker and the Player is minimal.
Please return or upgrade Bloodsucker's AI and hunting pattern.

Conclusion: Bloodsuckers are a great enemy, but the often spawn rates and not adaptive AI are making the Player get used to them as just to spongy annoying enemy.
Decreasing their spawn rate and tweaking their AI will return its former glory!

PS.
Where is Bloodsucker Kiss animation!? I miss it so much, you should return it in Stalker 2 :beatmeat:

Yeah, I'm absolutely tired of facing triple spawns of bloodsuckers. As you said, they're just as common, if not more common, than dogs. No reason they should even spawn in packs in the first place. Let alone in so many of the southern zones.
