impossible emission survival on the way to clear sky base

Having shut off all generators in the swamp (I think I did anyway, after turning a few off before I got the quest to do so), The quest marker sends me to go through he warren shack. I was attacked by the chimera on the way to there. After killing it (I managed to cheese this boss by getting it stuck outside the adjacent shack), an emission decided to occur.
Nearest location to go to survive is the clear sky base - except that it was hidden and I couldn't get to it. From the warren shack it is basically impossible to get to any shelter from the emission.

I just don't get why the orange emission quest marker would send me to clear sky base if I can't get to it - despite having shut off all the psi-emitters and the quest pointing me in that direction... unless it's a bug of course. I just fall out of the shack into the water and die from the emission.

The chimera attack and emission are scripted. I did the same like you, lured it to the shack and killed it only to be killed by the emission afterwards. Just ignore the chimera, sprint to the questmarker (warren shack) go through it and in the clear sky base behind it run to the tunnel entrance to survive the emission which should start shortly afterward.

I think I ended up running to the wrong shack (not the warren shack!) which is why I couldn't find the base. Following the quest marker doesn't help in the swamps due to all the paths that double back on each other!

Anyway I got to the clear sky base in the end. So I guess it's not bugged, I just died from utter confusion
