People egging you on with "skill issue" aside, there isnt really anything you can do. You kinda screwed yourself by getting to that point with so little supplies, and it kinda baffles me how you got to that point. Im playing on veteran and even post sircaa i have multiple guns with 700+ rounds of ammunition in my stash. It really isnt hard to stockpile ammunition in this game.
I started SIRCAA with more than enough Ammo, Meds, whatever I'd need. The problem isn't that I didn't prepare well enough. While I don't remember how much I specifically started with, I know all of my gear was 100%, I was carrying at least 25 Medkits, and at least 400 rounds for my AK. All of my gear is FULLY UPGRADED too (wanted to fight the Chimera that's near Clear Sky base)
Now that I'm finished with SIRCAA and stuck outside of Zalisya, all of my gear is 25% or less, I have almost zero ammo, and 2 Medkits with 50 bandages.
Clearly too many bootlickers to try and have a real conversation about how certain parts of this game are still flawed and how this game was obviously RUSHED, and it becomes especially obvious at this point in the game. The vibes from pre-SIRCAA and post-SIRCAA are completely different, and with the quarter-baked A-Life system spawning enemies right behind it, it doesn't help in making this any less frustrating.
Pripyat isnt even bad though? Plus by the time you get there the game is basically over anyways. I wasnt a fan of how late you can get there so on my second playthrough i cheesed my way into pripyat early and its a much better experience.
I didnt ignore any parts of your post. i fully saw the part where you clearly didnt handle the zalisya fight well. You clearly didnt use cover at all if all your gear is so damaged, and you clearly didnt go for headshots because you have no ammo. I take back what i said before, its 100% a skill issue. but hey atleast you have enough bandages.
I mean if you COULD read you woulda known that, but you can't and that's okay! Maybe next discussion post you'll get it right.
Yeah, and thats why i said theres nothing you can do about it, because you put yourself in that situation. Why are you talking in circles?
I can see your frustration but keep a cool head and just chill and loot some abandoned places or drop the difficulty down. Worst case you're on pc so just use console commands or cheats to boost yourself back to a playable level if you really have to.
I also recommend switching to a different weapon if your ammo gets low.
For example, I always use a rifle and a shotgun. If I were to run low on my rifle ammo I just switch it out to a different rifle that has a different caliber. I stockpile all ammo I find along the way so I have like 1000 ammo of every type in storage so I can just switch weapons and have tons of ammo again while I pick up new ammo for the previous weapon.
Yes and no. Things dont exactly go to hell completely, but it is for sure a point of no return in the fact that once you do it there will be more and stronger patrols to deal with, and also Zalisya will get attacked and you have to defend it.
I didn't though? I played the game, sorry I didn't realize there was a right and a wrong way to play the game. That at a certain point I have to stock up on 200k coupons, 900 ammo for each fully upgraded gun, and get a full upgraded exo-skeleton.
Next time I decide to play, I'll start a new save and only use Skif's pistol so I can min/max my experience, would that make you happy John Stalker?
Put simply, it's clear you've never played a STALKER game before LOL
Dude its not even about min maxxing. I know you are being facetious but good lord. You use guns you have ammo for, and when you run low (not empty) you swap it out for a gun that you have been collecting ammo for, and repeat. Its not some super try-hard min/max meta strategy, its common sense. Any game, first person shooter or otherwise, where you get to a point that you are supposed to have something, IE ammo, food, meds, and you dont, thats on you and yes, that means you werent playing the game right. Like i dont know what to tell you? The best you can do is learn from the mistake, reload a previous save if possible, and do better.
EDIT: Yes, i have played STALKER before, which is why i know to stockpile my supplies and use them smartly, unlike you.
