Broken Rock Artifact At The Claw
I have a side mission to obtain the Broken Rock Artifact, I watched several Help Videos and they were just about useless, had me travelling from one corner to the other to locations that did not spawn said Artifact, I thought logically a "Broken Rock" artifact should be at the Claw, in fact one video showed it there, but the hoops he jumped through to get it to spawn were ridiculous, crawl through an arch in the rock to throw a bolt into the anomaly which will release the artifact then jump up on one of the claws to further release it and then run around to the other claw and look up into the sky!!!! and the Video was captured during the dark period so the clarity wasn't apparent. Have any of you guys (or Gals) found this broken Rock? maybe I have to just keep walking around randomly until luck out, which is what I did with the "Crown"....

All artifacts come in 4 groups based on the type of anomaly they spawn in. The Broken Rock is found in gravity anomalies like the Claw but you can find it at any other gravity anomaly field.

In general, the chance to find any given artifact is low enough that it's usually not a good idea to take one of those missions unless you know you already have one. I really think they need to improve how the game handles these missions.

Thanks
Save 100 meters away from the anomaly. Then walk towards it and unveil the artifact. If it is not the one you seek reload and try again. If it is always the same artifact you were already too close to the anomaly before you saved. In that case pick the artifact up and wait some time (at least one emission) before trying again.
Thanks for the help, I couldn't believe it, this morning I was playing, not necessarily Artifact hunting but heading to a destination on another mission, I happened to be in the northern part of Cordon, which I have visited many times, I had the detector out and wasn't going to check a particular site I passing when the detector went off, I headed over there and don't you know a "Broken Rock" popped up. They really are randomly generated. I want the three days I spent roaming for this back......or as they say "welcome to the zone".
