All the endings...
...feel like a nice freshly made sandwich with salad, egg, bacon, chicken, mozarella and a big turd on top!

There is not one ending I would consider positive and rewarding with the Ward-ending maybe the least disturbing one. The zone disappears, Skif leaves the place and flies to his new home - as an agent of C-Consciousness!

Strelok ending - the zone is closed up forever, poses no longer a threat to the world but everyone insides will slowly die by dwindling resources and the faction wars they bring with them. Maybe that is the ending I prefer, even if it means certain death for all humans inside.

Scar-ending - in the end Scar and Skif find the Shining Zone, but it seems like only Scar is really there, because Skif is seen sitting alone in the real zone in the last image. So even if he thinks he is in the Shining Zone - his body is stil in the real world and that means he will die by starvation and a lack of water after a few days.

Kaimanov-ending - the most disturbing of them all. The whole world turns into the zone, anomalies spreading everywhere, mutated animals attacking people. Most likely the end of human life on earth.

After having played them all I feel disappointed. Not one of them makes me happy, they are all more or less catastrophic, but in different severities. Reminds me of that Rick and Morty episode where the devil was running a shop that sells only cursed items.

Maybe the war seeped a bit into the minds of the story writers?

regards

Depending on perspective I would say the "Kaimanov-ending" is the only one that makes sense.
The only one that opens up for S.T.A.L.K.E.R 3 in the future ;)

I described four endings - Ward, Strelok, Scar and Kaimanov. Never heard of a fifth one.

For gameplay reasons Kaimanov-ending would make sense.
Strelok and Ward ending seems to be the most 'positive' ones. As both securing that the Earth is safe.
Scar ending just doesn't make sense and is probably the worst one.
